Side Piercing Kick (Yop Cha Jirugi) This is a variation of the sidekick, where the foot twists into the target, similar to a punch with the fist. The starting position is the with the knee raised and pointing forward towards the target the foot is then driven to the target in a twisting motion. The footsword is normally used but the ball can also be utilised. The targets are similar as for the side thrusting kick. The advantage of twisting into the target is that the attacking tool can pierce the defence of the opponent, and twist the target causing internal damage to organs etc. One step Right leg flying Start in L stance left leg forward Bring the right leg through.
